- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Submerge yuca pieces into a saucepan and immerse them in sufficient water to completely submerge the root. Dissolve salt into the water, then bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Cover the pan and cook until the yuca is soft and tender, approximately 15 minutes. Drain excess water; arrange yuca on a serving platter.

Concurrently, heat olive oil in a separate pan over medium heat. Sauté sliced onion and minced garlic until they are translucent, about 5 minutes. Introduce a squeeze of lemon juice into the pan and continue cooking for another minute.
