Ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (12 ounce) jar roasted red peppers, drained and chopped
- 1 cup whiskey
- 1/2 cup minced garlic
- 1 (22 pound) whole turkey, neck and giblets removed
- 1 (7 ounce) can chipotle chilies in adobo sauce

"Get your oven ready by setting the temperature to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius).

Next, combine the sautéed onion, roasted red peppers, whiskey, and minced garlic in a bowl. Stuff this mixture into the turkey's body cavity.

To add some extra flavor, blend the chipotle peppers in a food processor until they reach a sauce-like consistency. Use half of these peppers to coat the outside of the turkey, and reserve the other half for placing inside the cavity.

Place the turkey into a specialized bag designed for roasting, seal it according to the manufacturer's instructions, and position it in a roasting pan.

Roast the turkey in the preheated oven until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius), as indicated by an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh, near the bone. This should take around 3 and a half hours.

Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest in a warm environment for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing."
