  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 pound jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced

Combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, and minced garlic in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, stirring constantly until the sugar and salt have fully incorporated and dissolved. Remove from heat.

Next, add sliced jalapeño peppers to the pot and continue to stir gently. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, about 15 minutes.

Now, carefully transfer the cooled jalapeño peppers to a spacious, sterilized Mason jar. Pour in the prepared pickling liquid to fully submerge the peppers. Let the mixture cool down to room temperature, approximately 30 minutes.
