Zesty Mexican Taco Ring
Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Mexican cheese blend
Instructions
1
Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat and bring it to a high temperature. Cook the beef and onion in the hot skillet, stirring frequently, until the beef is nicely browned and crumbly, taking around 5 to 7 minutes. Remove the excess fat from the skillet and set it aside.
2
Add water and taco seasoning to the beef mixture, stirring well to combine. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, then reduce the heat to a lower setting and let it simmer, stirring occasionally, until most of the water has evaporated, taking around 10 to 15 minutes.
3
Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (or 190 degrees Celsius). Remove the crescent roll dough from its packaging and separate it into individual triangles.
4
Arrange the crescent roll triangles in a circular pattern on a pizza stone or baking pan, with their points facing outwards. Spoon the beef mixture into the center of each dough triangle, creating a ring shape with the filling. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef mixture.
5
Fold the crescent roll points towards the middle, sealing the dough together to form a neat package.
6
Bake the rolled-up crescent rolls in the preheated oven until they are lightly browned, taking 11 to 13 minutes.
