Ingredients
- 1 (5 ounce) container plain yogurt
- 1/2 yogurt container vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 yogurt containers white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 yogurt containers all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of three fifty degrees Fahrenheit, or one seventy five degrees Celsius. Next, take a moment to grease a round cake pan with a diameter of nine inches using a springform design. This will ensure the cake releases easily once it's baked.
2
Now, pour the contents of a yogurt container into a separate mixing bowl. Measure out the amount of oil using the same yogurt container, and then add it to the yogurt. Set this mixture aside for later use.
3
To continue using the yogurt container as a measuring tool, rinse it thoroughly and dry it with a paper towel. This will allow you to reuse the container for measuring other ingredients.
4
In the mixing bowl, combine eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer to beat these ingredients together until they are fully incorporated and there are no visible lumps. Next, add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the mixture. Stir these ingredients together until they are just combined; at this point, the batter should be quite thick.
5
Pour the prepared batter into the greased cake pan and use a spatula to spread it evenly across the top of the pan. This will help ensure that the cake cooks uniformly and releases from the pan easily once it's baked.
6
Place the cake in a preheated oven and bake for twenty five to thirty minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
