Wonton Taco Cups
Ingredients
  • cooking spray
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • 24 wonton wrappers
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a moderate heat setting of 375 degrees Fahrenheit (or equivalently, 190 degrees Celsius).
2
Next, spray a 24-cup mini muffin tin with a non-stick cooking spray to prevent the wonton wrappers from sticking.
3
In a large skillet, heat it over high heat until it reaches a medium-high temperature. Cook and stir the beef in the hot skillet until it is browned and crumbly, taking around 5 to 7 minutes.
4
Drain the excess grease from the skillet and discard it. Add a pinch of salsa and taco seasoning to the beef mixture, stirring well to combine.
5
For each muffin cup, place a wonton wrapper and fill it with approximately 1 tablespoon of the taco beef mixture.
6
Top each muffin cup with a similar amount of shredded Mexican cheese blend, about 1 tablespoon.
7
Place the mini muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake until the wonton wrappers are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted and bubbly, taking around 12 to 14 minutes.
