Next, combine white chocolate chips with butter in the top of a double boiler where simmering water is present. Stir this mixture frequently and scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula to ensure everything is well incorporated, until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency, roughly 5 minutes.

Once the chocolate mixture has reached this state, drizzle it over your popcorn. Seal the bag and gently shake it until the chocolate has evenly coated all the kernels, taking around 3 to 4 minutes.
