- 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Combine ketchup, maple whiskey, apple cider, dark molasses, apple cider vinegar, pure maple syrup, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a medium-sized saucepan. Stir the mixture over medium heat until it is well combined, then bring the ingredients to a rolling boil.

Reduce the heat to a low simmer and let it cook for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the sauce has reached a thickened consistency.

Remove the saucepan from the heat source and let it cool down completely. As the mixture cools, it will continue to thicken, making it easier to store and use later.
