Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 pound sirloin tips, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
Instructions
1
Combine minced garlic with cornstarch and stir until well combined. Add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil and a pinch of black pepper to the mixture, blending until smooth.
2
Add sirloin tips to the bowl and mix thoroughly.
3
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large wok over extremely high heat for just 1 minute. Add the sirloin mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until the beef starts to develop a rich brown color, approximately 2 minutes.
4
Transfer the cooked sirloin mixture to a large bowl and set it aside for now.
5
Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil in the same wok. Add sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they become tender and fragrant.
6
Mix in green beans and pour in the broth. Cover the wok with a lid, reduce the heat to a medium level, and let it simmer until the green beans are tender-crisp, taking around 4 to 5 minutes.
7
Stir in the cooked sirloin mixture and soy sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, until the beef is heated through, taking about 1 to 2 minutes.
