  • 1/2 pound carrots, julienned
  • 1/2 pound onions, chopped
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 3 quarts hot milk
  • 1 cup margarine

Fill a large container with chicken stock and place it on high heat, causing the mixture to rapidly increase in temperature until it reaches a rolling boil.

Add an assortment of vegetables, including celery, carrots, and onions, to the pot.

In a separate container, combine flour, salt, pepper, and milk. Using a whisk or spoon, blend these ingredients together until they form a smooth mixture.
