Ingredients
- 5 pounds new red potatoes
- 3 pounds kielbasa sausage, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 (8 fluid ounce) bottle liquid shrimp and crab boil seasoning
- salt to taste
- 12 ears fresh corn
- 4 lemons, halved
- 1 tablespoon diced green chile pepper, or to taste
- 10 pounds medium shrimp - peeled and deveined
- 12 blue crabs, cleaned

Fill a substantial, 40-quart cooking vessel with water to approximately two-thirds capacity; heat the mixture until it reaches a rolling boil.

Combine diced potatoes, sliced sausage, a blend of shellfish boil spices and a pinch of salt in the pot; cook until the potatoes have reached half-cooked status.

Introduce frozen corn, sliced lemons, and diced chile pepper into the pot; continue to cook until all the vegetables are tender.

Turn off the heat source and let the contents of the pot sit for a few minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Add peeled and deveined shrimp and flaked crab meat to the pot; cover it with a lid and let it sit for 10-15 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and the crab meat becomes opaque and flaky.

Carefully remove the cooked vegetables and shellfish from the pot; drain off any excess liquid.
