Collect all necessary ingredients and materials beforehand.

Combine granulated sugar with 1 cup of cold water in a small saucepan. Use a spoon to stir the mixture until the sugar is fully dissolved, allowing it to reach its boiling point. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In the meantime, take a few minutes to prepare the lemons. Roll them gently on your countertop to loosen their peels, making them easier to cut. Cut the lemons in half lengthwise and extract their juice into a liquid measuring cup using a manual or electric juicer. Add the pulp from the cut lemons to the juice, but discard any seeds that may have been extracted. Continue juicing until you have obtained 1 1/2 cups of fresh juice and pulp.

Fill a large pitcher with 7 cups of ice-cold water. Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and pulp, followed by a sufficient amount of simple syrup to achieve your desired level of sweetness. Add ice cubes to the pitcher and serve immediately.
