Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons MeltĀ® Organic Buttery Spread, softened
- 1 1/2 pounds ground lean turkey
- 2/3 cup dry Italian bread crumbs
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1
Begin by preheating your oven to a high temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit. To prevent the meatballs from sticking, lightly coat a broiler pan with butter or margarine to create a non-stick surface.
2
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, bread crumbs, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese, tomato sauce, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried rosemary, prepared mustard, a pinch of cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until they are well incorporated.
3
Using your hands or a spoon, shape the mixture into 30 identical meatballs. Place these meatballs onto the prepared broiler pan.
4
Place the meatballs in the preheated oven and continue baking until they are no longer pink in the center. This should take approximately 15 minutes.
5
Check the internal temperature of a meatball by inserting an instant-read thermometer into its center. The ideal reading should be at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit or 74 degrees Celsius.
