Triple Meat Pie
Ingredients
  • 5 pounds boneless beef sirloin, cubed
  • 3 pounds boneless pork roast, cubed
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cubed
  • 4 large onions, chopped
  • 6 large stalks celery, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 homemade 9 inch pie crusts

Preheat the oven to a high temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (equivalent to 175 degrees Celsius).

In a large cooking vessel, heat oil over medium-low heat and cook the beef, pork, and chicken together until they start to develop a brown color. Add sliced onions and chopped celery to the mixture, then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for an additional 5 minutes.

Place two pie crusts side by side in the bottom of a large baking dish. Distribute half of the meat mixture evenly over the pie crusts. Add another two pie crusts on top, covering them with the remaining meat mixture. Press and stretch the final layer of pie crusts to fit snugly around the edges of the pan. Create 8 small holes on top for steam to escape.

Bake the pie in the preheated oven until its surface is golden brown and it reaches a hot, bubbly consistency, approximately 1 hour.
