- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- fresh ground black pepper

Heat a moderate amount of oil in a cooking vessel over an intermediate temperature and sauté the onion and garlic until they become soft and lose their rigidity, approximately 3 minutes. Introduce the rice into the saucepan; cook and stir constantly until it is lightly browned, roughly 2 minutes. Add the chicken broth, tomato sauce, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper; bring the mixture to a rolling boil.

Cover the saucepan with a lid and lower the heat to a minimal level. Cook until all the liquid has been absorbed by the rice and it is fully cooked, approximately 20 minutes.
