Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package lasagna noodles
- 4 cups ricotta cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (32 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1
Acquire the necessary components for preparation.
2
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
3
Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a rolling boil. Introduce lasagna noodles into the boiling water and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until they achieve an al dente texture; remove noodles from the water and lay them flat on a sheet of aluminum foil to cool down.
4
Combine ricotta cheese, eggs, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl; thoroughly blend the ingredients together.
5
Heat oil in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat; add minced garlic and sauté for 2 minutes. Gradually incorporate spaghetti sauce and Italian seasoning into the saucepan, stirring occasionally, until warmed through, taking about 2 to 5 minutes.
6
Apply half a cup of sauce to the base of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover with a layer of noodles, followed by half of the ricotta mixture; top this layer with another layer of noodles. Pour 1 1/2 cups of sauce over the noodles and spread the remaining ricotta mixture over the sauce.
7
Add a final layer of noodles and sauce; sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese. Cover the dish with a greased sheet of aluminum foil.
8
Place the prepared lasagna in the preheated oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, approximately 45 minutes.
