- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 5 pods star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 pods cardamom, crushed
- 8 red rooibos tea bags
- 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- ice

Combine water, sugar, star anise, cinnamon stick, and cardamom in a saucepan; heat until the mixture reaches its boiling point. Take the saucepan off the heat source and add tea bags. Allow the tea to infuse and cool down naturally, taking about 1 hour.

Take out the tea bags and strain out the whole spices; dispose of them. Whisk in condensed milk to give it a smooth texture. Pour the mixture into a large container and refrigerate until all the flavors have melded together, which should take at least 1 hour.

Fill four glasses with ice cubes. Serve the tea over the ice in the glasses.
