  • 1/4 cup minced garlic
  • 1 pound ground chicken breast
  • 12 Thai chiles, sliced into thin rings
  • 2 teaspoons black soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves

Heat a wok over extremely high heat, allowing it to reach the point where it starts emitting smoke. Next, pour a generous amount of peanut oil into the wok and immediately introduce minced garlic. Stir-fry the garlic until it starts to develop a rich, golden hue, approximately 20 seconds later.

Subsequently, incorporate the ground chicken into the wok and continue to cook and stir until the meat becomes crumbly in texture and no longer retains its pink color, approximately 2 minutes.

Following this, add sliced chilies to the wok and stir in soy sauce and fish sauce. Allow these ingredients to blend together for about 15 seconds, until the chilies begin to soften. Then, introduce fresh basil leaves into the wok and continue cooking until they have wilted in appearance.
