Thai Basil Pork Stir-Fry
Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 large hot chile peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced pork
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chile paste in soybean oil
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced white onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced green bell pepper
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
Instructions
1
Preheat the wok by heating a generous amount of oil over extremely high heat. Introduce minced garlic and sliced chile peppers into the sizzling hot wok, allowing them to develop a deep golden hue after approximately 30 seconds of cooking. Next, add the pork and vigorously stir-fry until it reaches a rich brown color, taking around 3 minutes to accomplish.
2
Then, pour in the dark soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, and fish sauce into the wok, stirring constantly until the liquid has significantly decreased in volume by half, approximately 3 minutes later.
3
Following this, add the chile paste, finely chopped onion, and sliced bell pepper to the wok. Continue stirring-frying until the pork is cooked through, taking a range of 5 to 6 minutes.
4
Finally, stir in the fresh basil leaves and season with a generous amount of pepper to taste. Ensure everything is well combined before serving.
