Ingredients
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, or more to taste
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 2 (6 ounce) fillets salmon
Instructions
1
Combine teriyaki sauce, apple juice, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, and pepper in a small bowl, stirring until the marinade is thoroughly incorporated.
2
Position salmon fillets on a glass baking dish and pour the marinade over them, covering the dish to allow for refrigeration. Allow the fillets to marinate in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours.
3
Preheat an outdoor grill over medium heat and lightly brush the grill grates with oil to prevent sticking.
4
Remove the salmon fillets from the marinade and gently shake off any excess liquid. Transfer the remaining marinade to a small saucepan and bring it to a boil over high heat. Gradually reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until the marinade has thickened, approximately 5 minutes.
5
Simultaneously, cook the salmon fillets on the preheated grill for 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until they flake easily with a fork.
6
Serve the cooked salmon fillets accompanied by the reduced marinade, which can be drizzled over the top.
