Teriyaki Glazed Pork Chops
Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 3 pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
Instructions
1
Combine the teriyaki sauce, garlic salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix until well blended.
2
Position the pork chops on a large serving platter. Pour half of the teriyaki mixture over the chops, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate. Set aside the remaining quarter cup of marinade for later use.
3
When prepared to cook, remove the chops from the marinade and gently shake off any excess. Discard the remaining marinade.
4
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and carefully place the chops into the hot pan. Cover the skillet and cook until the pork is nicely browned, approximately 15 minutes. Flip the chops over and continue to cook, covered, until they reach a safe internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), indicated by an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center.
5
Pour in the reserved 1/4 cup teriyaki mixture and cover the skillet. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
