Teriyaki Garlic Edamame
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen edamame in the pod
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Boil water and minced garlic in a saucepan over extremely high heat until the mixture reaches its boiling point. Introduce frozen edamame into the saucepan and cook until they are heated through and almost all of the liquid has evaporated, approximately 5 minutes.

Gradually decrease the heat to a medium-high level and combine teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil into the saucepan. Stir constantly to ensure the sauce thickens and coats the edamame evenly, roughly 4 minutes.

Finish by sprinkling toasted sesame seeds over the dish to garnish.
