- 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
- 4 pounds pork neck bones
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Preheat your oven to a medium-high temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit (or 190 degrees Celsius, if you prefer metric).

Next, take a quarter of the chopped onions and a quarter of the chopped garlic and place them at the bottom of a roasting pan. Pour in some water and vinegar to add moisture and flavor. Season the neck bones with a pinch of salt and pepper, making sure they're well-coated.

Then, sprinkle the remaining onions and garlic over the top of the neck bones, creating a layered effect. Cover the roasting pan tightly with aluminum foil to trap the flavors and moisture.

Place the roasting pan in the preheated oven and let it cook for 2 hours, every 30 minutes you'll need to baste the contents with a spoon. After each basting, recover the pan with the foil.

After 2 hours of cooking, remove the foil and continue to cook until the neck bones are a golden brown color, taking an additional 45 minutes to achieve this.
