Ingredients
- 1 (18 ounce) bottle hickory flavored barbeque sauce
- 1 (16 ounce) package fresh mushrooms
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
- 2 large onions, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 head garlic, peeled
- 2 tablespoons malt vinegar
- 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup water, if needed
- 2 pounds pork chops
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit, equivalent to one seventy-five degrees Celsius.
2
In a food processor or blender, merge the ingredients of barbeque sauce, mushrooms, tomatoes, onion, brown sugar, garlic, vinegar, salt, and black pepper; blend until the mixture is well combined but retains some texture.
3
If the resulting mixture proves too dense, introduce a small amount of water to achieve the desired consistency.
4
Arrange the pork chops in a suitable baking dish and cover them with the barbeque sauce mixture; then, cover the dish with aluminum foil.
5
Bake the pork chops in the preheated oven for approximately three hours, or until they are extremely tender.
6
Shred the cooked pork chops using two forks.
