Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 rack baby back pork ribs
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup barbeque sauce, or as needed
Instructions
1
Combine kosher salt, brown sugar, a blend of spices including chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper in a small bowl to create the spice mixture.
2
Divide rack of ribs into four equal portions and coat each piece evenly with the prepared spice blend on all sides.
3
Pour a sufficient amount of broth into a pressure cooker, then place the ribs in a teepee formation within the cooker. Close and secure the lid firmly.
4
According to the manufacturer's guidelines, set the pressure cooker to high pressure and schedule a 30-minute cooking time. Allow approximately 10-15 minutes for the pressure to build up.
5
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
6
Release the pressure from the cooker using its quick-release method, taking about 5 minutes to do so. Remove and unlock the lid of the pressure cooker.
7
Transfer the ribs from the pressure cooker to the prepared baking sheet. Brush all sides of the ribs with barbeque sauce.
8
Place the ribs in the preheated oven and bake for 7 minutes, flipping them halfway through. Continue baking until the meat can be easily pulled away from the bone, taking an additional 7 minutes.
