Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup prepared yellow mustard
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3/4 cup cider vinegar

Heat butter in a saucepan over low heat, then take it off the stove.

Combine brown sugar, white sugar, mustard, egg, salt, and pepper in a medium-sized bowl. Mix everything together until it's smooth and well combined. Add vinegar to the mixture and whisk until it's fully incorporated.

Pour the sugar mixture into the saucepan with melted butter. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring it to a boil.
