Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (15 ounce) can fava beans, drained
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1/3 cup tahini
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- salt and pepper to taste

Preheat your saucepan over medium-high heat, adding a generous amount of olive oil to it. Allow the oil to warm up before introducing the sliced onion, which should be cooked until it becomes translucent and soft.

Once the onions have achieved this state, incorporate the canned beans into the saucepan. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice will then be added to the mixture, stirring it in thoroughly.

Following this, introduce a spoonful of tahini into the saucepan and continue stirring until the mixture has thickened. The addition of minced garlic will then be made, cooking it for a few minutes to allow its flavors to meld with the rest of the ingredients.

Finally, season your hummus to taste by sprinkling a pinch of salt and pepper over the top.
