Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 (15 ounce) can corn, drained
- 1 (8 ounce) jar taco sauce
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 cup tortilla chips, crushed
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2
To begin, lightly coat a large baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
3
Next, fill a large pot with water and add a pinch of salt. Bring the water to a rolling boil, then cook spaghetti according to its package instructions until it reaches your desired level of doneness. This should take around 12 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking together.
4
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and transfer it to your prepared baking dish.
5
In a separate pan, heat a significant amount of oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until it's nicely browned, breaking up any clumps as you go. This should take around 5 to 7 minutes, followed by the removal of excess grease.
6
Add a packet of taco seasoning and some water to the pan, stirring until it's well combined. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken.
7
Add some frozen corn and a spoonful of taco sauce to the pan, stirring until everything is heated through.
8
In another bowl, combine a can of cream of chicken soup, some sour cream, and 1 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese. Mix everything together until it's smooth and even.
9
Spread the cream of chicken mixture evenly over your cooked spaghetti.
10
Then, add the beef mixture on top of the cream of chicken mixture and finish it off with a layer of remaining 1 cup Cheddar cheese and crushed tortilla chips.
11
Finally, place your dish in the preheated oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, approximately 30 minutes.
12
After baking, let your dish cool for a few minutes before serving.
