Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package frozen cut green beans, thawed
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk, or more to taste
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 (2.8 ounce) package French-fried onions, divided
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
First, preheat your oven to the optimal temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius for those using metric measurements).
2
Meanwhile, combine the green beans with a can of condensed soup, 1/2 cup of milk, sour cream, Swiss cheese, half of the French-fried onions, garlic salt, soy sauce, and a pinch of pepper in a large casserole dish.
3
Next, place the mixture in the oven and bake it covered for 30 minutes. If you prefer a creamier consistency, add an additional 1/2 cup of milk halfway through the cooking time.
4
Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the remaining French-fried onions on top. Then, bake it uncovered until it's bubbly and golden brown, approximately 15 minutes later.
5
At this point, your dish is ready to be served.
