  • 1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Combine the strawberries and blend them into a smooth liquid

Mix cornstarch with cold water in a medium-sized saucepan and stir until it's fully incorporated. Add the strawberry puree and sugar to the mixture, then heat over medium heat, stirring continuously, until you notice it's starting to simmer. Take the saucepan off the heat.
