- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 (10.5 ounce) package miniature marshmallows

Preheat your oven to a temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius).

Submerge sweet potatoes into a large container and cover them with water; heat the mixture until it reaches a boil. Lower the heat to a moderate level and allow the sweet potatoes to cook gently until they are tender, approximately 20 minutes.

Drain the cooked sweet potatoes and transfer them to a large baking dish.

Bake the sweet potatoes in the preheated oven until they lose their moisture, about 3 to 4 minutes; transfer them to a separate mixing bowl. Keep the oven functioning.

Use a potato masher to crush the sweet potatoes until there are no large clumps remaining. Add brown sugar, allspice, and cinnamon; continue mashing the mixture until it is evenly seasoned.

Spoon the mashed sweet potato mixture into a casserole dish and spread marshmallows in an even layer over the top of it.
