Ingredients
- 5 cups water
- 1/4 cup sliced fresh ginger
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey

Boil water in a saucepan, adding sliced ginger to the pot. Once it reaches a rolling boil, decrease the heat to a lower medium setting and let it gently simmer for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine brown sugar and honey in the saucepan. Continue to cook over low-medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugars have fully dissolved.

Carefully remove the ginger from the saucepan using a strainer or fine-mesh sieve, and serve the sweetened water warm.
