Sweet Garlic Moose Meatballs
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 3 pounds ground moose
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius.
2
Start by mixing together honey, garlic, and soy sauce in a small cooking vessel. Add onion, garlic, and chili powders to the mixture and stir until well combined.
3
While your sauce is heating up, shape 2 tablespoons of ground moose into small balls. Repeat this process to create the remaining meatballs.
4
In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium-high heat. Cook the meatballs in batches until they are nicely browned and cooked through, taking around 10 to 15 minutes per batch. Remove them from the skillet and drain any excess oil.
5
Transfer the cooked meatballs to a large baking dish. Pour your prepared sauce over them and make sure they are evenly coated.
6
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and let it bake for about 20 minutes, or until the meatballs have absorbed some of the sauce and reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit or 70 degrees Celsius when checked with a thermometer.
