Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
- 1/2 pound New York steak, cut into 1/4-inch strips
- 1 cup frozen broccoli florets
- 1 cup frozen sugar snap peas
- 1 cup baby carrots, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 cup Chardonnay wine
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
1
Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over high heat; cook and stir the steak until it develops a nice brown crust, approximately 5 minutes. Remove the meat from the skillet and place it on a plate; put the skillet back over medium-high heat.
2
Cook and stir the broccoli, snap peas, carrots, and bell pepper in the same skillet used to cook the steak until they start to soften and become tender, between 5-7 minutes. Transfer the vegetables to the plate with the meat; put the skillet back over medium-high heat.
3
Combine the wine, honey, dark soy sauce, and red pepper flakes in the skillet, stirring to release any caramelized residue from the bottom of the pan. Combine the cooked steak and vegetables with the sauce mixture; simmer and stir until the sauce has thickened, around 10 minutes.
