Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 2 pounds pork spareribs, cut into bite size pieces
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
Instructions
1
Gather all the necessary ingredients and materials beforehand.
2
Mix together sugar, flour, salt, pepper, and mustard in a large bowl to create the base of your sauce.
3
Add water, soy sauce, and vinegar to the bowl and stir until well combined.
4
Place the ribs in a large pot that is at least partially submerged with enough water to cover them completely.
5
Bring the water to a rolling boil, then cook the ribs for 10 minutes before draining them.
6
Heat a generous amount of oil in a large skillet over medium heat, and carefully brown the ribs on all sides.
7
Mix the sauce mixture with the browned ribs in the skillet, stirring until well combined.
8
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a low simmer and let it cook for 30 minutes.
9
Mix in some minced garlic and continue cooking the ribs for an additional 15 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
