  • 4 ounces blue cheese
  • 1 pound sliced bacon, cut in half

Heat your oven to its highest temperature setting, which is 375 degrees Fahrenheit or 190 degrees Celsius.

Cut dates in half lengthwise and carefully pry them open, separating the two halves. Remove small pieces of blue cheese from the package and place a few in each date half, making sure to fill them as full as possible. Press the two date halves together firmly to close and seal the filling inside.

Wrap each stuffed date with a thin slice of bacon, securing it in place with a toothpick to prevent the filling from escaping. Arrange the wrapped dates in a single layer on a baking dish or tray, making sure they are not overlapping and will catch any excess grease that may be released during cooking.

Place the baking dish or tray in your preheated oven and bake until the bacon is golden brown and crispy, taking anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes. After the first 20 minutes of cooking, carefully flip the dates over to ensure even cooking and prevent burning on one side.
