Ingredients
- 1 cup Amish Friendship Bread Starter (see footnote for recipe link)
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius.
2
Next, take a moment to lubricate two 9x5-inch loaf pans with a generous amount of grease, ensuring they are properly coated.
3
In a large mixing vessel, merge the Amish bread starter with oil, eggs, 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 ¼ teaspoons of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Combine these ingredients thoroughly.
4
Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pans, making sure to fill them to the brim.
5
Bake the loaves in the preheated oven for a duration of approximately 50 to 60 minutes, or until they produce a hollow sound when tapped with your fingers.
