  • 50 blanched whole almonds, toasted

Next, melt butter in a substantial skillet over a moderate heat level that is neither too hot nor too cold. Allow the butter to transform into a light tan color without stirring it for approximately 15 minutes. Then, transfer the butter to a separate container and refrigerate until it solidifies.

In a new bowl, combine sugar, baking powder, vanilla extract, and ground cardamom. Mix the ingredients until they are well combined. Gradually add flour to the mixture and blend until a smooth dough forms.

Shape the dough into small, rounded balls that are each about 1 inch in diameter. Place these balls on a flat surface, leaving enough space between them to accommodate their growth during baking. Top each ball with an almond and gently press it into the dough.
