Combine rhubarb, water, and sugar in a large cooking vessel over an elevated heat setting; initiate boiling. Gradually decrease the heat and continue to cook until the rhubarb becomes tender, approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Introduce gelatin mix into the mixture and stir thoroughly.

Withdraw the saucepan from the heat source and permit it to cool down to a comfortable temperature, roughly 30 minutes.
