Ingredients
- 3 pounds pork back ribs, separated and fat trimmed
- 1 (12.5 ounce) can pineapple tidbits, drained
- 1 cup apricot jam
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a moderate heat of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
2
Arrange the pork ribs in a single, flat layer within a roasting pan. This will allow for even cooking and browning.
3
In a separate container, combine the pineapple juice, sweetened jam, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, black pepper, and a pinch of heat from the cayenne pepper. Stir these ingredients together until they form a smooth, syrupy mixture.
4
Pour this glaze evenly over the pork ribs, making sure they are fully coated. This will help to infuse the meat with flavor as it cooks.
5
Place the ribs in the preheated oven and baste them every 15 minutes, or as needed. Continue to cook the ribs until they are glazed and easily detach from the bone, which should take around 1 1/2 hours.
6
Use an instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature of the meat. It should reach a safe minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius).
