  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 2 pounds beef round steak, cut into serving-size pieces
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius).

Take a bowl and mix together the flour, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Transfer this mixture to a resealable plastic bag and shake it vigorously to ensure everything is well combined.

Add the beef pieces one by one to the bag, making sure they are evenly coated with the spice mixture. Shake again to distribute the seasonings.

Heat a sufficient amount of oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef pieces and sear them on both sides until browned, taking about 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer the beef to a baking dish and keep it warm.
