Ingredients
- 2 cups dark brown sugar
- 1 cup dark soy sauce
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 cup honey hickory barbeque sauce
- 1 drop black food coloring, or as needed
- 4 pounds chicken wings
Instructions
1
Combine brown sugar, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and barbecue sauce in a large glass bowl. Thoroughly mix the ingredients until the sugar is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
2
Gradually add black food coloring to the bowl, stirring constantly until you achieve your desired shade of color.
3
Pierce chicken wings multiple times with a fork, then submerge them in the sauce. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
4
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Transfer the marinated chicken and sauce to a large baking dish.
5
Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour, or until it is no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear. Use an instant-read thermometer to check for doneness, as it should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) when inserted near the bone.
