Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 green chile peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 8 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
Instructions
1
Begin by adding a generous amount of olive oil to the slow cooker's base. Next, create a layered effect by placing sliced onions at the bottom of the container.
2
Following that, add a layer of green chile peppers, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, sugar, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Finally, add a layer of potatoes on top, sprinkling each layer with a pinch of salt and some red pepper flakes for added flavor.
3
Place the slow cooker on High heat and let it cook until the potatoes are tender, requiring a cooking time of 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Before serving, gently stir the contents to distribute the flavors evenly.
