Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 medium jalapeno peppers, chopped
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
1
Heat a substantial pan over an elevated heat level until the ground beef is nicely browned and has lost its original texture, approximately 5 to 7 minutes; remove excess fat from the pan.
2
Transfer the browned ground beef to a large container designed for slow cooking. Combine the beef with a rich, tangy sauce made from tomatoes, diced tomatoes, an onion, jalapeño peppers, a blend of spices including chili powder and cayenne pepper, seasonings such as salt and black pepper, and minced garlic; stir the mixture to achieve a uniform consistency. Cook on a low setting for 10 hours or a high setting for approximately 6 and a half hours.
