Combine a tender chuck roast, sweet pepperoncini peppers, the juice extracted from these peppers, melted butter, a packet of au jus seasoning mix, a package of ranch dressing mix, salt, and pepper in a slow cooker. Cover the container and cook on Low for an extended period of time, until the roast is easily pierced with a fork, approximately 8 hours.
