Spicy Mississippi Dip
Ingredients
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf French bread
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups chopped cooked ham
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped green chile peppers
  • 2 small jalapeno peppers, chopped, or to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of three hundred twenty-five degrees Fahrenheit, or one sixty-five degrees Celsius.
2
Carefully remove the top portion of the bread loaf and set it aside, intact. This piece will be used later in the recipe. Next, use a spoon or knife to create an opening within the bread loaf, making room for your desired filling. Set aside any chopped bread pieces that will be used to dip into the spread.
3
In a separate mixing bowl, combine the following ingredients: Cheddar cheese, diced ham, sour cream, softened cream cheese, chopped green onions, roasted and diced green chiles, and minced jalapeƱos. Mix all the ingredients together until they are well combined.
4
Spoon the cheese and meat mixture into the hollowed-out bread loaf, filling it to your desired level. Place the reserved bread top back onto the loaf, ensuring it is securely in place.
5
Wrap the bread loaf tightly with two large pieces of aluminum foil, creating a sealed package. This will help retain heat and moisture during the baking process.
6
Place the wrapped bread loaf in the preheated oven, where it will bake for approximately one hour and twenty minutes, or until the filling is cooked through and bubbly.
