SERVINGS

Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons plain yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chile flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 (5 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- metal skewers
Instructions
1
Combine the yogurt, minced garlic, ground cumin, turmeric powder, grated ginger, black pepper, red chile flakes, and ground cinnamon in a glass or ceramic bowl; thoroughly blend the ingredients together.
2
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and add them to the yogurt mixture. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight, allowing the flavors to meld.
3
Preheat an outdoor grill over medium heat and lightly brush the grill grate with oil to prevent sticking.
4
Take the marinated chicken out of the refrigerator and thread it onto skewers, making sure each piece is secure.
5
Place the chicken on the preheated grill and cook, turning occasionally, until it reaches a safe internal temperature of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), which should take around 15 minutes. Use a food thermometer to check the temperature, as it will indicate when the chicken is cooked through and the juices run clear.
