  • 1 black tea bag
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, preferably Dutch-process
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • sweetened whipped cream
  • 2 (3 inch) cinnamon sticks

Heat water in a compact saucepan until it reaches its boiling point. Introduce the tea bag, seal the container, and take it off the heat source. Allow it to sit for 3 to 5 minutes.

Take out the tea bag and blend in sugar, cocoa powder. Put it back on the stove over a medium flame and bring just to its boiling point. Combine milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon powder, and nutmeg powder in the mixture. Heat it through without letting it reach its boiling point. Pour the liquid into cups, then top with whipped cream and decorate with cinnamon sticks.
