- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons water

Combine diced apples with granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and a small amount of water in a cooking vessel; mix until the sugar has fully incorporated. Place the saucepan over high heat and bring the mixture to a rolling boil, then decrease the heat to a low simmer; continue cooking until the apples are tender and the syrup has thickened to your liking, approximately 10 minutes. Serve the warm apple syrup over fluffy pancakes or a scoop of cold ice cream
