- 6 large apples - peeled, cored and chopped
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg white

Combine sliced apples and water in a substantial cooking vessel, such as a large saucepan or Dutch oven. Heat the mixture over low temperatures, covered with a lid, until it becomes bubbly and frothy, taking anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. Take the saucepan off the heat source and stir in granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, whole cloves, and vanilla extract. Allow the mixture to cool down.

In a separate container of moderate size, beat the egg whites until they become stiff and hold their shape. Gently combine the whipped egg whites into the cooled apple mixture. Present the dish for consumption.
